About GP|FIT
Hi! My name is George Pelekanos. I am a level 3 personal trainer and owner of GP|FIT; a mobile personal training company based in and around the London Boroughs of Enfield and Barnet. I also cover certain areas of Hertfordshire. I believe that as a personal trainer it is my responsibility to help people understand that improving their health and well-being shouldn’t be restricted to ‘weight loss’, ‘body building’, ‘clean eating’ or ‘supplements’. It’s about looking at the bigger picture and addressing lifestyle imbalances, eating nutritious food, forming good habits and implementing action that is both realistic and sustainable. For me, being GP|FIT means a great many things but ultimately it is about healthy eating, training well, feeling amazing and being fantastic!
My Ethos
My philosophy and approach to health, fitness and well-being is to engage my clients in exercise routines in a gradual and progressive way so that the changes that occur to their body are more likely to become part of an everyday routine. I strive to instil good habits in you that make it easier to sustain a good level of long term fitness. My aim is to train, motivate and inspire you to be a fitter, healthier and stronger version of yourself using a fun approach.
Why Train with Me?
I am passionate about health and fitness. Over the years, I have engaged in many sports like Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Five-a-side-football and outdoor group fitness. With a love of open spaces, I have become a specialist in outdoor training which is ideal for those that prefer to train outside of the gym environment which can sometimes be an intimidating place to have a workout. To overcome this problem, I am able to train you in your local park, in the comfort of your own home (you don’t need a lot of space if you choose to be trained at home), your office or any open space. In all cases you will need a willingness to learn, the determination to succeed, and a positive attitude to becoming a healthier you. I will do the rest!
My Past
Before I became a personal trainer I gained a wealth of experience whilst working in a very demanding, high-pressured job where a level head was required on a daily basis.  I am therefore accustomed to maintaining a calm demeanour which helps my clients feel relaxed, but not too relaxed. This in turn provides a perfect environment to produce great results. In addition, my family-oriented nature, embedded in being a father to a young son, means that I am well positioned to understand, and in fact empathise, with the demands of your work-life balance. This allows me to accommodate you with regards to your training timetable.
What to Expect
After an initial consultation and assessment I will create an exercise programme specific to your individual needs. Whether you know exactly what you want to achieve (be it to shed fat, increase muscle definition or just improve your general fitness) or whether you’re unsure of what your goals might be, my patience and ability to listen to your requirements, means I will help guide you to realise your potential and become the best version of yourself.
Training Ethic
I push myself to the limits in my fitness pursuits and I am actively involved in improving my fitness by researching and experimenting with different techniques to keep my workouts fresh and interesting. I know how to give you the body you’ve always wanted but as there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all programme, I work hard to ensure that you get the most out of your personal training sessions. You will always come away with a smile on your face, feeling motivated, energised, and thoroughly worked out!
